Sophie

What a delightful surprise she was! Me and Hazel got together for another shoot and decided to do very simple beautiful images. We noticed that all we've done involves heavy makeup or a lot of info so .. We went clean simple and sexy.

All natural light and my lovely new camera! Sophie just knew what she had to do to as a model to make it all happen.

Our only issue in this particular shoot was weather to keep shooting or not :D

ENJOY!

Goodbye D80, Hello D700!

Well..The time has come to move on. I have been using my Nikon D80 for 3 years now and it has been impecable and a great companion. A lot of my assistants or colleagues never truly believed me when I said I used such a small camera but I did! and it was great.. I learned and developed with it and now I can understand the D700 in more detail and can appreciate it much more. I believe the quality of my images will increase and more jobs will come. So, I am happy!

the experience of shooting fo BITCH MAGAZINE..

So, Im not a rebel, I not the kind that brakes the rules specially when it comes to photography but yesterday, I did.

I was shooting for Bitch Magazine Online , first edition and so we all headed to Canary Wharf (nice...) . We were a good chunky group, very stable and as always, a good mood is required.

As planned with the "suppose manager" of All Bar One , we were going to be there for hair makeup and changes. So was that this man was NOT the manager, but just a key holder. The real manager had no idea what we were doing there and that for me, a very organized person, simply stressed me out as you can imagine. She let us stay there until 12 and luckily enough that gave us time to do hair. Ollie, our cinematographer went hunting for a nice space for us to settle whilst I tried to not get upset. Eventually, Sandra, the founder of the magazine arrived and seemed to be less worried than me.I think everyone was. We ended up at Starbucks IN canary wharf shopping centre (who would imagine that that would be our solution). They were kind enough to let us stay there as long as we needed. Only problem was now styling the girls. SO we went completely rebellious and did it on the street... in canary wharf... Looking at it now, quite fun.

Now the whole point of me writting all this was that I was so fascinated by one thing. Every corner we turned to, as you can image, someone would kick us out: small spaces, walls, corners..you name it! BUT shooting right in front of every famous building in canary wharf was the easiest thing to do! As I said, I am not a rebel, I like to be in control of what I do. But yesterday, speed and precision were my main points. So there we went. the 2 girls were perfect, bang on, quick and we had a great background, awesome weather. I shot 2mins everytime and we went back and forth until I got the shot. I am not aware if you know but I'm a quick shooter so that was no problem. Having a tight group REALLY helped and both Viola , the MUA and Hair stylist and SImone, the stylist were amazing as always. Ollie got some great shots of the shoot and my assistant Pei-Chi was that perfect extra pair of hands. I think Sandra enjoyed what we did, and I am well pleased!!

So this is just a teaser :) Pics will be out end of November on the Launch!whoop whoop.

Bubbles and Jewellery

I was all ready to get my lights up, mentally prepared for the grey sky and horrid wind.. AND MR SUN CAME OUT! What a lovely day. Not one cloud in the sky the whole day.

I meet up with the MUA Hazel Buford with my videographer Ollie Gayler (yes..I now have a videographer..progress!) to her humble flat. Facing the 02 arena and with a breathtaking view of Canary Warf to the horizon, 10 floors up and an with an adorable balcony. I stepped outside and waved hello to mr. Seagull flying by, the usual .. so yes, we were pretty high in the sky at Hazels simple home for two.

We get cracking. I show Hazel my friend Catriona Lorimer's jewellery. I cannot explain what and how she does them, but they are adorable little pieces of nature transformed into expensive looking earrings, bracelets and necklaces. I also show her my BEN 10 bubbles tube and we're ready to rock and roll!

I was invited my Oxygen models to test shoot some of their models and today I was lucky to meet Sydney and Lydia who magically happen to work together perfectly.

Lydia was the bubbles girl ( I dont know how to put it). She wore colourful makeup and had bubbles flying all over her. In the mean while, Ollie was filming and captured some great angles of the shoot. Oh, I forgot to mention: Lights? Were NOT needed..Natural beautiful sunlight all day against a convenient white wall. Beautiful results, she was breath taking and sexy.. a photographer's little paradise.

Sydney was wearing Catriona's pieces. The intention of the shoot was purely beauty and oh my God did she deliver it. I cannot explain what I felt inside when Sydney started doing her thing. I don't know if your are aware but there is nothing more frustrating for a photographer to have to guide the model throughout the whole shoot and she did not need a word said to her. I am so pleased with her work.

I am still in the process of "photoshopping" the images, as unfortunately my digi artist Lewis HAD to go to HAWAII! ha.. He deserved the holidays, bless him. As always, I am super rapid when it comes to editing so hopefully it will we a couple of days until I post the images.

So today's team besides myself was:

MUA and Haird - Hazel Burford
Videographer: Ollie Gayler
Jewellery: Catriona Lorimer

BOTH MODELS ARE FROM OXYGEN MODELS:

Sydney and Lydia

Hope you enjoy!

Emile

I shot the new collection of amazing clothing designer Emile yesterday. Colors bright and very classy and fun. I fell in love with his clothes immediately. Working with a great team as well so made everything work smoothly. London decided to go tropical and the sun was shinning as I have not seen it shine in ages. I love the results, am very pleased and loved the day!

Images up soon so keep track!

Color Edition

So I have been exploring colors...and filters. Next seasons BIG THING is block colors so I decided to play with some images. Also, my friend, colleague and digital artist Lewis Clark and I are working on a little color project to add on to these ones.

Enjoy!
